Savings
The saving account is generally opened in any branch of U S Nagar District Co-op. Bank Ltd by salaried persons or by the persons who have a fixed regular income. This facility is also given to students, senior citizens, pensioners, and so on. Saving accounts are opened to encourage the people to save money and collect their savings.
Features of Savings Account:
- The main objective of saving account is to promote savings.
- There is no restriction on the number and amount of deposits. But, mandatory PAN (Permanent Account Number) details are required to be furnished for doing cash transactions exceeding ?50,000.
- Withdrawals are allowed subject to certain restrictions.
- The money can be withdrawn either by cheque or withdrawal slip of the respective branch of the bank.
- The rate of interest on saving account is payable as per RBI norms.
- A minimum amount of Rs 500 has to be kept on saving account to keep it functioning.
- No loan facility is provided against saving account.
Required Document for Saving Account:
- Identity Proof (Passport / Voter ID / PAN Card / Driving License).
- Address Proof (Electricity Bill / Telephone Bill / Bank Ac Statement / Ration Card / Gas Connection Receipt / Salary Slip).
- 3 Passport size photographs.
- Introduction by an existing Bank customer. If needed.
